Who ever decided to combine banana bread and cheesecake is a genius and then I added chocolate to it! Not your average bread this. I have increased the protein content by using Peanut Butter powder (you can sub with regular flour or any gluten free flour) and even more protein with cheese & Greek yogurt.

Rich, creamy and chocolatey - a slice of this bread, warm out of the oven with a cuppa is like a soul hug!
Ingredients: (For bread)
All purpose flour - 1/2 cup
Peanut Butter powder - 1/ 2 cup (or use 1 cup AP flour in total)
Cocoa powder - 1/2 cup
Baking powder - 2 tsp
Baking soda - 3/4 tsp
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Large eggs - 2
Mashed bananas - 1 cup
Chopped pitted soft dates - 1 cup
Melted butter - 1/2 cup
Vanilla essence - 2 tsp
Cheesecake filling:
Softened cream cheese - 125 grams
Greek yogurt - 100 grams
(Alternatively use 225 grams of cream cheese)
Sugar/Sweetener of choice - 1/4 cup
Egg - 1
Corn flour - 3 tbsp
Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
Method:
For the cheesecake filling - whisk together all ingredients and keep aside.
For bread - whisk together eggs and melted butter until creamy. Add to it mashed bananas and chopped dates. Sift together all dry ingredients. Add it to the wet mixture and fold gently. Do not overmix just fold in very gently till it all comes together.
Pour half the banana mixture into a loaf pan. Then pour in the cheesecake mixture and level it out. Cover with the remaining banana bread batter. Preheat your oven for about 10 minutes. Bake the bread at around 180C for 30 - 40 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
Let it cool and enjoy a slice of cheesecake bread!
